CREATIVITYThere are many ways individual members can express themselves in an inclusive and democratic co-op environment, some of them are shown here.

One way is encouraging members to decorate their units outside and in to enrich both their lives and those of their neighbours.

Another involved several of our members helping to stencil our Community Centre.

Members' creativity extends beyond the co-op as well. In the summer of 1999, co-op members contributed substantial volunteer labour to building a garden by the front entrance of the Grand River Hospital on King Street in Kitchener. Generously funded by Canada Trust's Friends of the Environment Program, the perennial garden is a place of rest and relaxation for patients, staff and visitors. It was designed by a member of Asgard Green.
